Period IV Award Checks Sent September 6

Dear Stakeholders,

The awards your horses earned racing at New York tracks in July and August were sent September 6. Registered NY-breds generated 1,251 breeder awards, NY-sired horses generated 638 stallion awards, and registered NY-breds competing in open company generated 183 owner awards over the two-month period.

Please check out the links on NYBreds.com to the Fund’s YouTube channel. We have videos on topics ranging from the Fund’s NY Thoroughbred Fellowship Program to the recent Hall of Fame farm tour sponsored by the Fund. We also have videos of stallions standing at dozens of beautiful New York State farms. By sharing these videos on your social media, you can help spread the word about the advantages of breeding in New York.

On another topic, as part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to promote the responsible breeding of quality Thoroughbreds, we urge you to consider attending our upcoming educational events.

On October 15th, the NY Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund is sponsoring an NYTB, Inc. seminar hosted in conjunction with Fasig-Tipton called “Making the Cut: Yearling Sales Selection Criteria.” This event will be held in the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion on East Ave. in Saratoga Springs.

There will be another educational seminar on the morning of December 9th at the same venue. We’ll update you on the topics for that event when the information becomes available.

Sincerely,
Tracy Egan
Executive Director
NY Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund
