The awards your horses earned during our 4th period of July and August ’13 were sent on September 5th.
Below is a chart showing that for this important period, New York-breds earned more than $3.2 million for breeders, stallion owners and racehorse owners.
The dollar figures above represent awards earned minus the ten-percent “holdback” recommended by our Board of Directors. We hope to be able to pay out the full amount of the 2013 holdback early in 2014.
In case you are not familiar with the concept of the holdback, it’s a step taken by our Board to ensure that horses earn award money equally throughout the year and that the money available for awards doesn’t run out.
