Gaming Commission Chairman Brian O’Dwyer has announced the appointment of seven people to an advisory committee to assist in directing contributions from the New York Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund and the Standardbred Fund to responsible racehorse aftercare organizations. The committee members are Joseph Battaglia, Lois Engel, Bill Ketzer, Robin Malatino, Lisa Molloy, Liz O’Connell and Rick Schosberg.
The chairman noted that “These dedicated individuals recognize the importance of making sure racehorses have viable options after they leave the track.”
