A Summer Music Festival Celebrating the Year of the Horse and America’s 250th
Anniversary
DOVER PLAINS, NY – Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue is excited to announce Stars, Stripes & Sanctuary, an unforgettable summer music festival celebrating both the Year of the Horse and America’s 250th Anniversary. The event will take place Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the organization’s 42-acre accredited horse sanctuary in Dover Plains, New York.
Bringing together live music, rescued horses, local food, community, and patriotism, Stars, Stripes & Sanctuary offers guests an opportunity to celebrate while directly supporting the horses and the people they serve.
The evening will feature live music by Way Behind the Sun, food trucks, beer, wine, photo opportunities, and the chance to meet many of the 42 rescued horses that call Lucky Orphans home.
“This event is about bringing our community together for an incredible summer evening while supporting something much bigger than ourselves,” said Deanna Hearn. “As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary and the Year of the Horse, we’re inviting families, friends, veterans, first responders, and horse lovers to come together for a night of music, connection, and purpose. Every ticket purchased helps provide lifelong sanctuary for rescued horses while supporting programs that change lives.”
Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue provides lifelong sanctuary for 42 rescued horses while offering equine-assisted learning and development programs serving veterans, first responders, youth, women, families, schools, and the broader community through its mission of People Helping Horses Heal People.
